These Late Summer Studies are extensions of my sketchbook, where I lose myself in colour and texture without feeling the pressure of critique. They are all a little bit of me. I love nature and my current muse: A piece of beautiful marble, a French shutter juxtaposed to its aging stone surround, or an earthy Australian landscape, mixed with a small bit of nostalgia – my nan’s crochet blanket.
