Spring Light – Colour Study #2

These Colour Studies are extensions of my sketchbook, where I lose myself in colour and texture without feeling the pressure of critique.

These small studies inform my colour palette, texture and composition for future pieces, even before I know it!

They are all a little bit of me… full-on play without any inhibitions.

I’m inspired by nature and my then, current muse: A piece of beautiful marble, a French shutter juxtaposed with an ageing stone surround, or an earthy Australian landscape. Maybe even mixed with a small bit of nostalgia – my nan’s crochet blanket.
